Nikki & Neil, the owners of Proper Pie Co. are dear friends of mine; while chatting about potential ideas for starting a business, they kept coming back to bringing New Zealand style savory pies to Richmond. Neil, a chef, was passionate about bringing a 'Proper Pie' to the U.S. & I felt that would be the perfect name for their company!
They're 13+ years in, a Richmond/East Coast staple & usually with a line around the block! Nikki created their iconic logo & designed the restaurant.
